Today, Dr. Abdrabuh Muftah, Deputy Governor of Marib Governorate, officially inaugurated Hasana Basic School, funded by Hasana Global Foundation and Together for Children Germany Foundation. This intervention in the education sector comes in response to the calls of the local authorities in Marib Governorate for expanded educational support, due to the urgent need to ensure the continuity of education. The number of students requiring continued access to education is estimated at hundreds of thousands, most of whom are internally displaced persons who have arrived from various governorates across the country.

In the same context, Dr. Muftah emphasized that this project is one of the vital initiatives needed by the governorate, noting that Martyr Mohammed Hail School is overcrowded with thousands of female students. He explained that this project serves as an alternative to the container classrooms from which students previously suffered, stressing that the new school will significantly reduce overcrowding and improve the learning environment for female students.

For his part, Dawood Alwah, President of F.R.D., the implementing partner of the project, confirmed that the school was established in response to a request from the Education Office of Marib City. He highlighted that this important project will have a substantial positive impact on the students of Martyr Mohammed Hail School and reaffirmed the F.R.D.  commitment to working extensively in the education sector, as it represents the primary pillar for the advancement and recovery of societies.

Meanwhile, Engineer Khaled Al-Afif, representative of Together for Children Foundation and Hasana Foundation, the funding partners, stated that this project is one of the initiatives implemented by the two foundations in Yemen. He noted that numerous projects have already been carried out across most humanitarian sectors, emphasizing that upcoming interventions will be more impactful in response to the calls of local authorities in Yemen.
